One Big Orgy of Toyota Hate
What a piece of junk this thing is. I mean damn. A 2004 Highlander only manages to click off 119,000-miles before the stock battery craps out? WTF-over?
Oh, and after I pull the new Frod up next to the Rice-wagon to give it a jump-start, I close the hood on the Frod, and the mothersmurfing grill-mounted Frod emblem falls off.

Can't wait to see what comes of this. Toytota isn't exactly denying the charges outright, based onthe quotes in that article - which is suspicious. But then the guy Billers seems like he is just a chronic bitter problem-employee.
I forwarded the link to a friend of mine that thinks Honda and Toyota can do no wrong. She's actually looking for a new car and while I would be ok with taking her car shopping (Has a little Salma Hayek thing going), I don't think I can deal with all her "American cars are shit, Japanese cars are the best" BS.
After the U.S. government put out a warning to owners of Toyota and Lexus vehicles about safety problems tied to removable floor mats, the Japanese automaker announced that it will recall 3.8 million vehicles sold since 2004.
According to the consumer alert, the floor mats of the affected vehicles could interfere with the accelerator pedal and cause a crash.
The Transportation Department says owners should take out the floor mats on the driver's side and not replace them.
The consumer alert affects 2007-2010 model year Toyota Camry, 2005-2010 Toyota Avalon, 2004-2009 Toyota Prius, 2005-2010 Tacoma, 2007-2010 Toyota Tundra, 2007-2010 Lexus ES350 and 2006-2010 Lexus IS250 and IS350.

Please. Having DD-ed an IS250AWD for about 14k miles, there is no way that this is an issue for anyone but the most serious mouthbreathers. And possibly members of Geek Squad, but only the ones who think they're as important to society as cops.

lol. I thought it was funny actually. Watch out those floormats will getcha' (only in a Toyota or Lexus though, it's not possible at all in another vehicle).
i work for Lexus. they are only adding a retainer to hold the mats in place.
i was told told that they were not sure if the car actually had the right mats in it.
umm...... my goat has the same issue......(clips broke off a long time ago). But, I guess I'm just not normal because I actually pay attention to it and adjust it as needed before/during driving. But oh well. I guess I'm just 'weird' for checking those kinds of things.
Seriously people? Has this nation so corrupted itself and lost so much intelligence that the government has to take care of an issue like this for you? Wow, each and every day the people in this country find new ways to prove my theory that in general, the people of this nation are borderline, mentally retarded. They can not do ANYTHING for themselves.
But Toyota having a recal? Nooooo....... That is impossible. Toyota is 'perfect' in the eyes of America. They can do NO wrong......

So that is what they get for not hiring union workers.......... wait........ what?
LOL, have you seen alot of the people that drive the Camry/ Avalon and es 350. Maybe the most idiotic bunch to get a car. They must be a mandatory buy, if you can't follow simple rules or drive even in a semi-safe manor.

The funny thing is, 2 of my last 3 g/f's drive Camarys. The funny thing is, neither of them could drive worth a damn. They had bumps and scrapes all over the cars from hitting things and such. (needless to say I NEVER parked the goat near the last one....... I didn't have a nice car with the first g/f who had one. But she did 'bump' into my old truck)
