So if your car is seized then I am guessing you are still responsible for the payments if it is being financed.
I'm not sure why this reminds me of some of the media stories we would get from 3rd world countries where peoples' property was being seized by their local government because they were accused of something deemed criminal by their local governments. The commentary usually involved something about how we're such a free country because we're not subject to such "illegal seizures".

Quit paying taxes and see how long you own something.
I think the dude (who is a member here) who lost the QS GTO for a year learned an expensive lesson. IFIRC, it cost him over $10,000 in fines, etc. to get it back. Most of them lost their cars. Scary thing is just a week ago I found myself opening up the Maggie on that same stretch of road. Not racing, but just a early morning cruise shall we say...

i think i am one of the lucky few who on a semi regualr basis can hit the 50 mph speed limit x3+ , and not worry about getting caught. but this place only is in my dreams

Yea, I got it back, so no chance of anyone buying it at auction. Sorry, guys. They got a pretty badass terminator which may or may not be auctioned, I'm not sure what's happening with that car. The rule is that they have to put the cars to stock before they can sell them to the public, so the termi might end up chasing baddies. I know there will be a TBSS on the block though, if anyone is interested. I'm not sure what has already been sold and what hasn't.
Tom: give me a call next time you make it down this way.

.
Is this a state rule or something? A buddy from a former job got a supercharged 350Z this way a few good years ago for super cheap off a very similiar type of auction
Street racers don't want to give up their spots, lol.....I have a tattoo with the street sign of where I grew up hustlin'. Real racers, where something has happened (like a car confiscated or a gun pulled....) they're weird about revealing shit to strangers.

You don't care if I die, bassist? That hurts me on the inside. I wish I was cool enough to be a part of your hardcore street racing clique. Reppin' the hardcore streets of High Point, North Carolina. Did mommy and Daddy pay for the car you got taken away(and almost auctioned off) for street racing too? Man, you's a hardcore gangsta for sure

Be careful what you say. The streets of High Point ARE pretty hardcore. And I'm not talking about some street-racing kids.

Are you serious? X2
I've been to High point on several occasions over the years. They have their share of crime and wanna be thugs just like Winston and Greensboro, but it's not like it's gangland or anything. I have a feeling torrid_nc is joking a little. If not, he's full of shit.

"Some of the cars involved had tens of thousands of dollars of work done to soup them up for racing."
LOL
^^^ Do they still show Gangland, and when? All the Chicago gangs are from my old neighborhood, and surrounding neighborhoods. I thought it was a trip when I saw episodes based on them. Brought back a lot of old memories. Sad part is that they were not too long ago.

Yes I am full of shit, but all kinds of crap goes on there. The police have more important things to worry about that street racing kids.
