My brother got jealous of my GTO when I first got it because it looked so much better than his DD (2000 SS Camaro) so he decided on getting a new ride.
He put his foot down and decided on buying a 2009 Lexus IS300, I almost had a heart attack and wanted to bitch slap him for trying to buy a 4 door when he has no kids. I told him he should shop around for a baby carriage while he's at it..lol
Long story short I tell him let me try to find him a different kind of car with more balls and style and sure enough about 400 miles away i find him this BMW 335 twin turbo. he immediately falls in love, buys it, jumps on a plane to northern Cali and brings it home and i can't help but feel proud, but here's what i didn't expect. Stock he's not too much better than me but this douchebag went all out and is modding the smurf out of it and fast. So far he's put a juicebox, intake, exhaust, radiator, and headers (not too sure yet) and all I hear from him when i see im is constant shit talking about how hes so smurfing fast..

Headers won't do shit on that car (turbos). Throw some long tubes and a ported intake on your LS2, and he'll be seeing taillights for sure. Probably just with the long tubes. Tuned of course.

That is how my generation was raised. Well at least around here.

Same thing happened when I was younger- I got an srt-4 and my brother decided to buy an s2000. So I put a big turbo on mine, and recently he turbo'ed his.
He will reach the point of diminishing returns much more quickly on his car so if you mod up a few grand, he will not be able to pass you too easily without major work on his ride.
What is there to feel bad about? It's your brother for crying out loud. Be happy for him and enjoy it with him. Faster than a GTO and the looks, refinement, and driving characteristics of a BMW!?!?!? Good for him.
You should ask iHate5.0Stangs what's the best mod so no one notices that his car is better than yours............And ask Animal how to drive your car faster than anything on 4 wheels so you can back it up.
If you wanted a faster car, you should have talked him into the 328i. Fact is a 335i is a bit restricted on power so as not to compete with the M3, so getting a lot more power is quite simple. He's got a beautiful and fast car there, be happy that you can both cruise in sweet vehicles.

Advice:
Since you're 21 and you bought the gto yourself(unless your a rich kid, then you can beg your parents for money), you probably have no money for mods because of gas and insurance. If you want a faster car, sell the gto, buy a fox body and drop in small block 350 or some other crate engine with a solid transmission to go along with it. If not, be a sensible person and stop trying to act like the big dick in the family and grow up. Be happy, your 21 and driving a GTO. Some people just can never be happy with what they got.
Nice car. I had an '07 335i coupe before the GTO/SRT8 Combo. Probably means downpipes, not headers. And a 335i with a "juicebox" (tune), exhaust, intake, downpipes, etc. will throw down some pretty impressive times, mid-high 300 rwhp, ~400 rwtq, killing a lot of domestic fanbois hopes and dreams lol.
