Back in the early 90's my brother worked for Banana Boat. He had me try out one of their self tanners. I was as white as a sheet, it was late May and thought it would be a decent start to the summer if I had a little color so I tried it. I was surprised, it actually looked pretty good, until I got to work in florescent lights. Man I couldn't get that crap off fast enough. Took about 3 weeks, I remember I went down to my parents house in early June and my mom looked at me and said "honey, why are you orange?" I learned my lesson.

Should have told her you have been eating too many carrots and not enough green veggies.

That actually happened to my son. When he was about 18 months he was a very picky eater, his favorite was the toddler carrots. After about 2 months of eating them twice (or more) a day he had an orange tinge to him. My "fake tan" still looked worse.
