Tiger Woods in "serious" car accident

http://blogs.usatoday.com/gameon/200...car-crash.html

And from TMZ,
Tiger Woods is in "serious" condition after being involved in a single car crash near his home in Florida last night.

WOFL FOX 35 in Orlando has confirmed with Florida Highway Patrol the crash occurred at 2:20 AM in Isleworth. He was taken to Health Central Hospital.

Woods struck a fire hydrant and then a tree on a neighbor's property. Police say alcohol was not a factor.

He was driving a 2009 Cadillac SUV.

FHP told the Orlando Sentinel the airbags did not deploy.

Story developing....

Strange incident, I was just reading about this. Hope he's OK.

Another news site indicated the accident was not alcohol related, but charges were "pending" concerning the single car crash.

Best wishes to Tiger. I really like him. Few others handle all that media attention with such grace and dignity.

I'm going to guess they'll feel obligated to hit him with a failure to control for fear of appearing "soft" on celebrities.

He wasn't driving one of those great Buicks he pimps?

And nothing good happens after 2am unless it involves booze and lowjo.

Why should he feel the need to?
With General Motors' Buick division announcing Monday that it is ending its nine-year endorsement deal with Tiger Woods a year early .Woods and Buick have agreed to a "mutual and amicable separation," the company said, terminating their second five-year deal, effective Dec. 31

At least he was still driving a GM product.

The man is almost a billionaire. I would've assumed his home would be worth more. Although I'm sure he has more than one.

A CNN interview with the mayor of that community moments ago revealed that Tiger has been treated and released. He had no further comment on the charges other than speculation that it was pretty routine stuff.

I always thought Tiger was a good driver.

When I worked the tourney at Disney back in 2000, I saw him back his Porsche (when he WAS under contract with Buick) up an incline. I thought the tranny was gonna blow with him grinding it and reving it up high. He got out with a SEG grin and the look on his face of "oh well".
