Wait there is something else on TV right now other than Saints vs. Pats.

Just discovered this show over the holiday. Pretty interesting to see what people bring in. One has to wonder why anyone would bring some of that high dollar stuff to a pawn shop.

Shows depressing. Anyone whose desperate enough to walk into a pawn show (any pawn shop) with the intention of letting go of something for no where near it's value has made some very poor decisions. These guys are smurfing people. Nothing against making a buck off someone but I'd rather not witness it.

I like how something gets appraised....the person never knew how much it was worth before walking in there. Then all of a sudden they want the most the appraiser quoted and go like "aww hell naw, I can get double what you're offering me here." HTF do they know if they've never had it appraised before and why aren't some of these people going to legitimate auction houses?
Ummm, it was looked at by the owner of a custom shelby shop and one director of operations at the shelby plant in Las Vegas. Confirmed real 1965 Shelby Cobra.
Good thing the Shelby plant is right in the same town as them.
It was a 1965 cobra frame/body that they dumped 80K into. It was not a complete straight from shelby, cobra. Also unless they have a huge historic racing history (like some of the ones that came across barrett jackson) that sounds like realistic pricing.
I didn't catch the new episode last night, but I've watched many of the old ones. Yea, some people that come in there make me shake my head. The one Indian guy bringing in some totem pole/teepee thing that was to bring good spirits wanting like $5k or something exhorbinent... Umm, ok!
The only thing that annoys the living crap out of me on this show is the old man. Starting with his looks, his attitude, etc, etc...
I like a lot of what the tri-axis channcels have. Tri-axis being the Discovery Channel, History Channel, and TLC.

It's a cool show, but it belongs on TLC or something like that. I have learned a little bit from some of the 'experts' they call in. Int'l is where it's at.
Been watching the show for awhile. We enjoy seeing some of the crap come in and seeing what people think its worth. I would never take anything to a pawn shop. I would either sell it on ebay or craigslist.

Thinks K&N should make underwear. After all, underwear is just a filter.

I just hate when the old man talks. And peaches is smurfing busted and annoying.

One of my all-time favorite cars. Not only did the guy get it free, he got paid for towing it...THEN, sold it for 30k AAAAHHHHH! I seriously was pissed watching that episode.
I know it needed work done to get it "street ready", but c'mon! He could have cleaned the house with that shell. Especially on Hemmings.

The old man is hilarious in the right situation.
"Chumlee likes Peaches.
And I'm not talking about the fruit."
I think Big Hoss is more annoying, strutting about all the time as if he knows it all. It's a shame someone hasn't put him in his place yet.
If I was the guy that owned that cobra body and found out it was a really cobra I'd tell the pawn guy to go f*&k himself and go get a loan from the bank or something and fix that car up asap seeing how much those things go for at auctions
The kite deal was pretty funny... although after that episode was on some guy tried to sell a glass sword. Seriously who MAKES a glass sword then tries to get money for it?
not a bad show though, better than watching some other bullshit on TV.
I just love how the people bring in their stuff and get it appraised and then ask for the max appraisal value. Don't they realize that the guy has to turn around and sell it to make money?

I liked it when his son was looking at some confederate money...and the old man asked across the store what he was doing...his son responded, "just looking at something you used to use".
