Door Lock Kit

Just bought the door lock kit for my 04 and just wanted some feedback from anyone who has installed this. Are the directions easy to understand? Is the installation easy? Just wanted to see what i am about to get myself into. Thanks!

Not worth the effort just to have a button to lock the doors... Just push down on the lock on the door and they will both close...

It isn't that hard, just you have to take the interior apart.

Dude, it's EASY. You have to pull the center console and the glove box door. That's it. Oh and the panel that covers the BCM, but it just pops off. You can see some pictures of that here...

I'd have to also agree that it's a fairly easy install. Took me about 40 minutes.

How knowledgeable are you with electronics? I am not the smartest when it comes to this kind of stuff so your 40 minutes may be my 4 hours! lol

I am resurecting this familliar thread because I need to know how to pull the console [after removing the one screw] without breaking it. The instructions make you believe that this is simple.

Thanks

I did my eBay door lock kit pretty easy. It was kind of hard tapping the BCM wires, just due to the confined space. I also checked 3-4 times to make sure I tapped the right wires, and took my time. Took me about an hour, but I had to extend my T/C wires and some other crap.

Best to get plastic trim tools such as these:

Work the console from back to front.
