Dyno numbers - 722/635

Good power, not the smoothest power curve. Third pull aborted due to the coolant boiling over. Drove it home with no overheating. Keeping an eye on it just in case something happened but I don't think anything broke.

3:00 min in for the pulls... got a new camera so I was filming just about everything.

Oh and what do you do when you're waiting for more cars to dyno??? Put the electric one on the rollers to see what it will do. Flattest curve I've seen.

Not the smoothest curve you say? Looks like a kid got out some crayons and started doodling on the screen

Nice numbers though. Car sounds good.

She started throwing up like a bulimic at a super models convention. Need to get your car some counseling so "marge" realizes she is sexy, and she doesn't need to purge to be those other women.

I'd like to meet Marge. If you're sharing...

I was watching your other videos down at MIR, I'm sad I had to work that day! Would have love to met marge.

Usually a curve like that means the dyno or the tires are slipping.

Great numbers man!

What kind of heads did you go with?
Got any cam specs?
How many pounds of boost?

You missed a good time. Nice to hit the track when it's not crowded. No waiting is nice. Costs more to rent it out but worth it. Wish the drivetrain coulda handled more so I coulda pushed harder. In the end I think all the wheel hop led to my brake line being cut by axle retainers letting loose.

The new rear end is almost finished up Just a few more tweaks so I can get everything solid.

Those were within 5-8 number wise from what the previous owner had it dyno'd at. It was riding on 275/35/18 NT05's.

Dart fully cnc heads 250cc 340+cfm
AES blower cam 232-240dur 600+ lift
It mathematically goes 14.5lbs at 6500 rpm. I have seen 14.2 at 6300 so that's pretty close. Once boost builds it is an outright animal. Kinda like having a second gas pedal kicking in around 4000-4500. Ran 132 in the 1/4 and was pulling strong until I let off it. I love the power.

I sure hope not. I don't think so. The PC is so noisy you would never hear anything anyway. Heads are ARP studed so I hope they aren't lifting. Very doubtful. I have put too much into the car as of late so additional mods are on the back burner for quite some time unfortunately. Getting the 9" and suspension done should hold me for a while.

I take it you're running meth?

Solid #'s. I absolutely love my AES / PC combo.

No meth. IATs are low enough. Once I have everything else fixed I'll look into a meth kit but I have enough to mess with now. You know how it is though, once everything is right you just find something else to modify. It should be CDC classified as a disease.

There just wasn't enough airflow on the dyno to keep the coolant from warming up. Overflow did its job. It's not a recirc system, just overflow. The PC has a hardcore type intake sucking in air from behind the bumper about 2" higher than the bottom of the bumper. That did away with the factory coolant overflow tank.

One day I might step up to that F-1A like you're running but for now the D-1 is doing me good. I'm hoping to get it into the 10's but it's going to be tough with a M6.

What do you have for an intercooler? I'm seeing how far I can push mine without meth, and my next step is a bigger IC. The one that came with my kit is tiny. At 12psi I'm seeing 175 degree IAT's so my tune is pretty conservative right now.

Looks great. What kind of IAT's are you seeing at redline?

I'm totally stealing your mounting idea BTW.

It's cool. Share and share alike. It is one of the less expensive ones off ebay with some mounting tabs tig'd on it. Figure it is as sturdy as the bumper brace it replaced.
IATs when I was logging with HPT on the freeway (ambient was low 80's) was around 98 cruising and up to 115ish when I got on it or not moving. The intake location helps; starts off with cooler air. I will log some more once she is running again; haven't done much of that. No idea what it was on the dyno or at the track. I need to get my dual gauge instrument pod finished so I can mount up my Aeroforce's and keep an eye on it.

Reminds me of my old 402 D1 setup. You should be able to get that thing into the 10's. What filter are you running on the Hardcore setup? We should get together sometime and terrorize the streets.

Judging by your filter location in your pics, our intake setup is near identical. Moving my filter there didn't change my IAT whatsoever though. I logged before and after, and went to the track before and after. Trap and boost stayed the same. I'd be pretty F'n happy if the new IC drops my temps that much. Then I'd feel better running more than 14* of timing.

^^ Your car should be a beast if you get those IAT's in check.

Nice numbers to the op!

You should get there if you have the drivetrain mods to get it to the track. I'm at 539rwhp on a D-1 with stock LS2 and headers, meth, 10" Hoosiers, and most all the drivetrain mods take away the 8.8" or 9" conversion. 11.55 @123w/M6. 1.60 60ft. Only been down the track 4 times with this setup. I think my car has a 11.30 or so in it as it sits with good weather.

Update-
Had the tune looked at by Ed Hutchins. A little tweak here and there and she put down 764/638 on a Dynojet. Could be dyno diffrences but the big thing was that I am running a little lean up top. Injector upgrade needed, the 60lb units are at 110% duty cycle. Gonna go with some ID1000's and possibly pulleying down the D-1 (apprehensive about that one since that would overspin it). It was running too cool, so a 180 tstat is going in as well. All this plus a good catch can set-up and she is going back on the rollers for the final tweaking. Hopefully this will be the final set-up for a while. Estimate it will be around 800 with the new stuff.

I'd like a tuner to tell me how you achieve 110% DC, when 100% is wide open. To you get the extra 10% from increased fuel pressure? IE, if your max injector flow rate is determined at say 50psi, and you're running them wide open at 55psi, theoretically you're pushing an extra 10% of fuel.

Is that the explanation? It's the only things that makes sense to uneducated me.

Because duty cycle is just a calculation, that is why.

PW = pulse width in milliseconds (ms)
RPM = engine speed in rotations per minute

Duty Cycle = (RPM * PW) / (120000)
