105 Gas

Ran across "SuperMax Ethanol Free with HiTEC 6590C," today. Im in SC. It was at a Spinx station. It was rated at 105 Octane, and was 10 cents more than 93. I checked the Spinx Site and it's only at select stations. Looks promising. I've been wanting higher octane gas to come back.

That is a good deal. I have never seen ethanol free 93 for only10 cents more. We have 107 here for $7 a gallon.

I'm out in Clemson, closest station I can find with it is smack dab in Greenville. There's a Sunoco close by with race gas, but the fact that you can put this stuff in your tank without having to look over your shoulder is pretty cool. Can't find anything about the fuel itself though...

Their site is pretty useless, and the station I found it at wasnt even on there list. But 105 octane unleaded, no ethy for 3.73 a gal. WOW

on their my Spinx site , go to locator, then fuel and click SuperMax Ethanol Free

If you go in a station it will only be at one pump.

I drove through g-vegas like a year ago, knowing that Spinx stations had it. I went to one in Mauldin (or maybe Simpsonville) right off 385. They had the 105 octane pumps, but upon closer inspection, they were all actually E85. I guess the hadn't removed the 105 stickers yet.

I got all excited at the 105, but then bummed out it was just E85

I'll do a cruise this weekend thru Anderson and see if I can find it. The new station in Powdersville has ethyl free 93, but not the 105.

Update: I got a full tank of this stuff and my car started having KR. I ran it out to 3/4 tank and filled with 93 e10 and the KR went away. Don't plan to use it any more. Who would of thought my car liked a little corn.

Pretty much all gas now is e10 unless it specifically says ethanol free. Maybe the pump was actually e85 like what paulsz28 said? You would probably get some knock from that because you'd be running lean.
