Advantages of this filter over the old K&N:
*Outflows the original K&N by around 20%
*Uses woven cotten cloth, like an oxford shirt, instead of cheesecloth, more uniform, more consistent filtration over life of the filter
*Uses a stainless steel mesh with epoxy coating to hold the filter media in place instead of aluminum screen
*The oil used on the filter is 100% synthetic, lighter than oils other companies use, which makes it harder to over-oil the filter and won't damage your sensors
*Features a barb around the perimeter of the filter which makes it lock securely into the housing. Any sort of sealing grease is no longer needed and the aluminum bracket across the top of the housing is no longer critical to hold the filter in place.
*Made in USA (America, smurf Yeah!)
"It's a well know fact that after you hit 400 HP you have to go with split dual exhaust like the LS2 GTOs. The '04s could get away
with single side because they were only 350 HP. With 400 HP and beyond the car wants to turn right at WOT from the thrust."
Is the kind you can clean with dish detergent and then re-oil with supplied oil? Can I buy the recharge oil local?

Will this fit the original hand built Svede's? I have one of Svede's hand built units and would really like to grab this if it will fit.
I hate to be the speculator and the dick that says something with out any real knowledge. I can't resist though.
I'd assume if the original svede has the same size filter as the more recent ones the answer would be yes. If you can order a replacement from the site prior to this one, I'd assume the answer would be yes.
End useless comment.
Just felt I needed to put my 2 cents in because I'm bored at work and only thread a live right now is "I want to go home"
The original was hand-made vs the semi-mass produced one WCC sells. There are some subtle differences looking at mine next to a WWC produced one. I'd think the filter area would be the same but ya never know.
Maybe a dumb question, but will a K&N filter recharge kit work with these new filters or should only the Green kit/products be used on their filters?
Does WCS sell the Green filter service kits for the new filters? It looks like Green offersfilter a few colors of oil and filters, but say to only use the clear oil on the uncolored filters (essentially match the oil to the filter color).
