new rays wheels with aggressive offsets

so i just got a set of rays engineering lexion 503s. they are 19x8.5 +35 with a 235/35-19, and the rears are a 19x10 +40 with a 265/30-19.
just thought id show a couple close ups for people interested in similar fitment.

all 4 fenders are rolled flat courtesy of RMS rolling and coating in sacremento.

i will post more pics soon when i get some arp studs and spacers, and maybe a 255 on the rear.

Those are aggressive offsets? They seem like crappy offsets for GTO's. No reason to run a 10" wheel if you are only going to run a 265 tire.

Please tell me you aren't going for the "hellaflush" look trying to fit even smaller tires on a 10" wide rim?

yes, aggressive meaning the wheel coming closer to the fenderlips than average. a 255 is over 10" wide.. this isnt nhra guys.

amd what is crappy about giving your car a wider stance? and not to mention there is no rubbing.

Looks like a nice wheel although have to see an overall view to see how it goes on the car...I'd like to have seen those in 18 personally, but I'm sure they look nice if they also work well (traction wise)?

Those tires don't like like a 265 on a 10" wheel. They look like a 275 or even close to a 285, that brand must run wide. After looking at so many set ups here, that wheel size and offset don't match with the way they look.

The front's are the same size as most people are running on the VB3's. I would still run a 245 instead of that 235.

I think they look like the old AMG wheels.

Not fan of all the screw/rivets, takes away from the wheel itself. JMO

You do realize that a wheel is measured from the inner beads to the outer beads? Not from lip to lip.

Lip to lip that 10" wide wheel is probably over 11", so you would have more than half an inch of exposed wheel on each side with 255s on a 19x10.

I saw the words "aggressive offsets" and immediately went blind.
Surprised I found the reply button.

What wheels you got? I thought those were the MM6 LM reps that ModBargain sells? I never saw those offsets, as I was really considering them before the VMR's. 19's come in 8.5" 35 and 9.5" 45. They look very good on your car.

yeah, the 255 is the 'advertised' section width (in mm) and not the tread, which is normally smaller and the problem comes from the low aspect ratio and then having to stretch it over the wheel...If they were a good sized aspect ratio (say 50+) it wouldn't be so bad, but the OD would be huge on a 19...I have 275/60 on 15" rims on my 10" wide rears (chevelle) and they work plenty fine cause they have a lot of side "meat"...If I had a lower profile, and it was available I'd go with a 295 minimum on a 10" rim; that is if I were running say 18's+ on that car, but IMO those start looking silly.

Personally with your setup OP, do not go smaller, but get at least a 275/285 if you have the room under the fender.

And yes, let's see the whole car!

Maybe if I was blind and thought that looked good on a blacked-out 93 mercedes, which I could barely afford with a loan.
Otherwise, negative.

Damn, rough crowd LOL

Tires could be a little wider. If that means you rub, then offset if off.

I'm EH on the wheels though too. Post full car pics.

Good job OP. There are a ton of narrow minded sheep on this forum, so don't let it get to you.

Looking forward to more pics.
