Would it occur after he lets it idle for a long amount of time?

Valve seals should be good for way over 100K miles, if the issue is in the heads with that few miles it's because the guides are smoked from poor geometry or an EGT/tune issue.

If you're getting black smoke when driving, it's very possible that you're running way too rich and have washed down the cylinders causing them to glaze and that's what is causing the oil smoke at idle.

What are the details on your motor? Who built it? Torque plate honed?

Tuned? Do you have a dyno sheet with AFR?

Could be that the installer messed up the valve seals when in installing the new ones and the springs to match the cam.

You could do a compression and leak down test and post up the numbers.

No matter what, you need a catch can. I'll trust the tuner, he actually saw the car.

There have been cases where the bolts for the rockers allow oil to seep past the threads and into the intake runner, usually ported heads.

Looks like it could be a little oil smoke like you mentioned earlier.

Could be in the A/F mixture - maybe valve seals.

a catch can will help with oil getting inside the intake .

HAPPY THANKSGIVING

Usually white smoke on start up,idle and under deceleration has to do with the valves, white smoke on wot runs has to do with rings.Since you have white smoke at idle and black smoke on wots there has to be two separate issues. Not connected to each other.

White smoke = somethings buggered up.

Black smoke = too rich afr

Valve seal. They are easy to damage on install especially if its your first time putting them in and don't know how far down or how hard to seat them.

The little springs can get stressed from the taps then unravel later. I found a little spring on my drain plug magnet with symptoms like yours after only 1,000 miles after install. I must have tapped that one down with too much mustard.

They should be easy to check if you have single valve springs. Double valve springs make it almost impossible. Pull plugs and start looking for oily or oil burnt plugs. Start at those cylinders for checking if the seals went south.

So oil inside the intake manifold will not make it smoke blue/ white or black at wot?? I thought it would stil be sucked into the cylinders and burn.

Ok guys while I'm waiting on this catch can iv been monitoring my car. I sprayed a hole can of t.b cleaner in the intake still very lightly smoking at idle. It doesn't smoke any on cold start just condensation, but after its hot it start to lightly smoke you have to really look to see. I had someone follow me they say a small puff of bluish smoke when I floored it while driving normal nothing 3 quarter throttle then in between shifts a little puff. The inside of the intake manifold I wet with oil but no big puddles but oil is there. I check my oil and its good. Also after I drove to work did a few 3rd gear pulls on the freeway to see if I was leaving a smoke screen needless to say I saw nothing in my rear view. So cruised the rest of the way to work. I got off the Fwy and stopped at a gas station, no smoke at idle, I let it idle there for a few min and it started very lightly smoking again. O.. and I have dual valve springs the seals where replaced about 7 months ago. I'm going to pull the plugs tomorrow.

Smoking after sitting at idle.....valve seals are going. And you had them replaced recently means someone smurfed up.

Step 1: Replace valve seals. Correctly.
Step 2: ????
Step 3: Profit
