What are these wires from?!...

Hey guys, new member here to the GTO Boards... I purchased an 04' Auto about a month ago and have been getting used to her ever since. While a new member here I'm a seasoned veteran when it comes to the boards, (Thanks vBulletin) and am the tech advisor over on 6speedonline and a sponsor on Rennlist. I own a German Automotive shop in Kansas City, but have always had a soft spot for big, lazy American V8's as opposed to the high strung forced induction flat 6's I normally deal with... Anyway, onto the obligatory intro pic... Poised alongside a friend's 850hp GT500:



Now onto the issue... About a week after buying the GTO my blinker fuse kept blowing... Of course I went the simple route first and replaced the bulbs, fuse and relay to avail, so I found this great forum and was able to track down a short that was grounding out on the bracket behind the glovebox... Don't get me started on how disappointing it is to see this level of careless-ness when doing the LHD conversion for us stateside, this easily could lead to an in-car fire under the right conditions. Anyways, with that issue solved I noticed these two wires just hanging out down there!... The cuts on the wires don't appear to be clean enough to have been done on purpose, rather they appear to have been pulled or ripped apart. A voltage meter revealed a full 13.96 volts pumping out of them when the car is on!.... Can anyone tell me where they go? - It may be unrelated but the blinkers also don't work with the Hazards on (never have since I've owned it). Blinkers are fine now and the relay clicks with the Hazard button pushed, but no lights front or back. Possibly completely unrelated:

What are the wire colors?

One looks like white with blue, but the flash is drowning them out.

Sorry for the crummy picture, I was basically on my head upside down in the passenger seat! - The wires are brown (earth) and white/green. The way they are hanging they don't appear to have originally gone to the BCM, though I could be wrong.

It looks like those wires would go to the foot well light that is attached to the panel that covers the BCM area.

Just went out to look at my car. My foot well light is connected via a brown wire and a white/green wire. I would cover the wires so they don't short out the circuit and kill whatever fuse powers them, but if you don't mind not having illuminated passenger feet, there's no reason to fix it. Again, just make sure they can't touch and short out.

I have the same problem with the hazards as you. The relay clicks, but nothing lights up. I replaced the fuse, and they worked. Then later the fuse was blown again. I'm heading to the BCM next to investigate.

Since you've already addressed the BCM, it might just be the fuse holding back your hazards. Yes, the relays can still click even though the fuse is blown. The wiring diagram will give you nightmares.

Thanks for the feedback, unfortunately the fuses were the first thing I investigated... all good. (and replaced to be sure.)
