Another PBM may be lost......

I was driving to go pick up my roommate from the airport and this old fragger makes a left turn in front of me...... I don't think he even knew he was driving a car, because the cop was saying he had no idea where he was or that he was in an accident..........

Let me step back to the beginning of November... when I spent almost $2k in wheels, tires, and mounts......

Bought staggered 18" thruxtons... threw some michilin tires on... and had Abo throw in some aluminum motor and tranny mounts while he had the car lifted....
My god what a difference!

here's the difference the mounts made...... most noticeable if you watch the fluid in the reservoirs (ps. can someone help me embed these videos... please)

Fast forward to Sunday the 25th.......
I made contact with his vehicle while we were both still in the street... I was in the #1 lane.

the gap in that planter is where I pushed his vehicle up the pole... it slid back down to rest against my car as is in the pic.

I clipped both pass. side wheels on the curb as it declines into the driveway in which we came to rest....

it speaks for itself..... (front pass. wheel)

Sorry for your loss. If totaled, will you be looking for another Goat? How long have you had her?

I talked to the mechanic who is taking care of my claim... he said he's looking around for prices on parts so they don't have to total, but it is not looking good....

I'll be getting another goat for sure... I might have to wait a little bit until I'm in a more financially "free" spot... aka a disposable income... but for now I might have to get a shitty beater and a bike until i'm done with school

Good thing you dropped 2k on your wheels and tires but didn't spend another .05k and get some respectable lug nuts.

Looks like a VERY simple repair honestly. That is not even close to what I would ever consider totaled.

I am terrified of idiot/distracted/oblivious drivers any time i fire my car up. Glad you are okay and good luck with the car.

If it comes down to a part out, id be interested in the SAP grilles. Although it looks like the driver side may have gotten tweaked?

It wasn't all into the wheels and tires, only about $1200 for them. 2k was a rough estimate of total work done... but regardless of that, why put awesome lugs like yours on beat up ol' wheels like mine? would have done that after refinishing.... but, well.....

Thanks for the compliment, she was starting to come together appearance wise... wasn't much left to be done, mostly re-finishing stuff. I am slightly surprised at just how durable the goat is... I knew they were sturdy... but dayum.
