Since you have to do a full tune anyway might as well do the MAF.

Are you using stock 04 injectors? May have to upgrade there also - since if not @ 100% duty cycle you will be real close and not good for long term.

But other than that - it seems to me you got all the bases thought out & covered.

might be a good idea...my 243's are basically the same size(233cc) and if he ever went with a small stroker they'd be fine for that as well as stock cubes

I've seen some folks run the LS6 MAF, although I really don't understand the technical differences/applicability between it and the LS2 MAF.

I would have thought that with an aftermarket intake manifold, your numbers would have been slightly higher (maybe only 5-8HP, probably not enough to worry about). I guess the stock heads and cam are just choking the higher potential flow of the intake.

I'm interested in how this turns out, for whenever/if I get around to doing some H/C/I work on my car.

I was thinking I would need them but was going to wait till it was at the shop and have my tuner order them. Any suggestions on size and brand?

my numbers are low however my tuner claims his dyno reads 15-25 lower then others in the area. I'm getting excited about everything I'm ready to send the heads and rockers out as soon as I can get ahold of AI been trying for 2 weeks now called a few times and emailed tiwce.

That's what I was thinking as well. From what I've seen ill need a wire harness adapter to plug from my ls1 plug to the ls2 plug?

Yes good idea because I've considered a small stroker in the future when the bottom end needs redone. Btw your painted engine is beautiful.

Get the heads done and then ship them to me. I will inspect them for free, run them on my car just to be safe, and send you my heads in the mean time

Trunion kit goes on the rockers. Not really a requirement, but you could at least replace the lifter trays for peace of mind while you are in there.

Re: AI 243 build

Trunion upgrade is for rocker arms. Not lifters.

I got the Lunati Street Link Bar lifters, I also did not do an UD pulley. Didn't feel it was worth the money.

6200-6500 max rpm on those. Unless you're talking about the $600 Morels.

Those street ones are not the same quality and it says a max RPM of 6200-6500. LS7's spin to 7k in a factory tested motor making the same power you will be in stock form.

I've spin mine to 7k with no issues

I edited my post, didn't wanna sound too negative since I don't have direct experience with them..

But I question why they are advertised at only 6200-6500.
