Is it possible to use 04 one piece M6 driveshaft on 06?

I can't for the life of me remember which driveshafts are compatible with each other and searched and didn't come up with anything. Have a friend with 06 M6 in desperate need of a one piece driveshaft and know someone with an 04 M6 shaft for sale but can't remember if they are interchangeable or not?

Depends on the manufacturer and configuration of the shaft

if it's DSS with the aluminum adapter, they have holes to fit all the years

04's are shorter then the 06 driveshafts. It's a very rare occasion that they are the same length.
