BACK UP FOR SALE (5/17/14}
Extra clean 2004 GTO, no accidents, 28,800 miles, 2nd owner.
Monaro conversion includes:
Monaro front bar with HID fog lamps
Monaro side repeater lamps
Holden Senator tail lamps and garnish
Custom Holden chrome wheel logos
Monaro door sills with Holden lion
Steering wheel Holden emblem
Shaved and filled spoilerless decklid, blended to match
Scooped hood painted to match
18" GTO wheels, Bridgestone Potenza RE760 tires
Reprogrammed cluster to show Holden Logo on start up
Shift light activated set at 5500 RPM
Car is stock except for JHP Option 4 shifter(GMM Street) with short handle machined to accept the original handle. Skip shift has also been deactivated.
The body is excellent, no dents or door dings of any sort. Hood has a couple of stone ships, but the bumper does not. Genuine Aussie plate. Paint work limited to front bar, hood and trunk area. Wheels near perfect, no rash, tires are excellent as well. Chrome Holden center caps are unique to this car. I also have the original hood (which I prefer but most people do not). The rear tinted garnish shows some wear and could stand more careful polishing and detailing. I couldn't wait to install it, but intended to take care of it later. The brake lamps are functional. The VX lamps are also tinted.
The interior is excellent, still smells of leather like the GTO I leased in '04.
The drivers mat has what appears to be a burn mark, perhaps from a drop light?
No seat seam separation, no headliner issues.
The redundant radio switches are flakey, but work fine when the car is driven more regularly. (go figure...)
On the mechanical side, the car performs as new. Really. No drivetrain slop, no saggy springs, perfect supple ride, No issues at all. The shifter does transmit more noise into the cabin but it's not intrusive. It also shifts a hell of a lot better than the original.
Still think it's worth every penny of $18000. Special car in many respects. Clear title in my name.
I drove the car to work today and it pains me to have to sell the car.
Time for a life change . It won't involve 5 needy projects and a GTO that I don't drive. No more garages, or single home; I am ready for streamlined life.
Thank you in advance for taking the time to look at my car.
