I'm probably older than you, but I agree with you about NVH, and we have the same reasons for buying a car like the GTO.
That being said, I've been very lucky with mine; never had any vibration...

Slots and or holes don't mean crap for 95% of us. It's more about what kind of brake "feel" your looking for and the pads themselves and the surface of the rotor have more to due with that.
