I'm confused, what's the issue with high mileage heads? Just swap valve springs and send it? Maybe replace rocker arm bearings while your at it but both of those together is only a couple hundred...

Detroit Axle seems to be like a solid deal, allegedly comes with new tie rods, and is pressure tested, and has a lifetime warranty.
