Hi LS1 GTO Forum,

My apologies for owning a GTO since 2006 and having a login to LS1 GTO Forum...and never posting.

My goal is to get back into road racing around the Houston, TX area, and have quite a few questions. Which I will research (forums always want you to do your due diligence first...) and post in appropriate sections.

The biggest question is a good speed shop in the Houston area.

Mark

Ditch those cross drilled rotors. They have a tendency to crack when abused on a track.

Could probably benefit from a true otr intake such as the xair.

Id ditch stock seats if it were me. They dont hold you in very well

Hi Sacrifice,

Thanks much for the input. Cross drilled rotors can crack sometimes. I researched Brembo prior to purchase. No issues yet.

I like the otr intake. Good idea.

Stock seats weight too much as well. Not replaced yet since they are still good shape. Reluctant to rip our perfectly good interior. But you are right, Sparco would be better for both hold and weight.

Thanks again for the suggestions.

Good luck out there. Im sure the car will be fun. Id like to do it more but its too costly of a hobby along with my others so my car is more of a fun DD.

You may want some adjustable front camber mounts as well

Adjustable front camber would be nice instead of taking it for an alignment for the track which eats tires on the street...

Hope you can get back into it one day...
