HSV steering wheels now available from RedlineGoods!

Hi guys!

I know it's been some time since we last spoke but this time I think I have something really cool for you! Not only we have designed a template for Holden Sport Vehicles steering wheel cover but also developed the way to convert base GTO steering wheel into HSV one And what you see below is NOT the HSV wheel, it's a base steering wheel that we converted ino a HSV replica With all its features, including the shape of thumbgrips, leather wrapped spokes and palm bulges on the backside!

What do you think? Both (steering wheel cover for HSV wheel and a HSV wheel conversion) will be available via RedlineGoods.com in a day or two

Thoughts? Comments? Suggestions what we should do next?

Take care

Jack

VERY nice! Are you selling the completed steering wheel or just the conversion kit?

I have a spare steering wheel and funny that the one you show as an example has orange stitching......

My only concern would be converting over the air bag. What do you have to do to remove it and replace it without fear of setting it off in your own face? Can this be done without setting an airbag default off in the dash?

Disconnect the battery, turn the steering wheel to get to the 4 tabs in the back of the wheel, flat head screw driver and twist. The airbag will pop out and then just pull the wires connected.

Oh, and by the way - the wheel in the photos is for sale, actually. Just in case anyone's interested

I believe the manual says pull the fuse and wait at least 10 minutes after you do so. Would not want anyone to have a serious surprise. also, some of the wires are to the airbag and short so need to be very aware of that. like with anything, I would carefully reciew the manual and threads here, but yeah, not difficult.

Removing and replacing the airbag is insanely easy. I’ve pulled the airbag on every one of my 4 GTO’s more than once and can confidently say there is nothing to worry about.

Pull the airbag fuse, wait a few minutes, then release the 4 tabs and pull the airbag forward a bit. The yellow wire pulls straight off, and the other wire just slides off.

Nice job, that looks great.
If I didn't already have one, I'd buy one of these.
The look and feel between this and the stock wheel is amazing.
I bought mine a while back for a really good price and was thinking of reselling.
As soon as I installed it I knew it was staying put.

Two questions:
1. Are these HSV wheels different than the flat-bottomed wheels or available with a flab bottom?
2. Are these on the website yet? I can only find the two wheel covers and the flat-bottomed wheels.

Those are differet products - up till now flat bottom steering wheels were made on base steering wheels but now with HSV replicas rady I think we will be making all flat bottom wheels in HSV style :-) What do you think?
