was browsing the corvette forums today and saw that they have 180 t-stats available. Just wondering if their's will fit in our's??

Why? you already have a 186F stat.

Remember the stat opens at the temp it's rated for. The rest of the system removes the heat.

I have a 160 stat and I see 175 to 180 on cold days and 185 on hot days driving down the freeway.

You're just opening a can of worms. You know it works, I know it works but people that don't have them say it doesn't work.

The LSx engines have the thermostat on the inlet side of the block as opposed to the more traditional outlet side. The operating temperature will always be higher than the actual thermostat opening point.
