Went to Houston TX in june. This car will do some serious cruising. Played with a '03 vette, the guy couldn't shake me so he slowed down got beside me to see what was nibbling on his bumper. Spanked a SS Camaro in Houston 3x before he gave up. Scored a 89 mustang gt in GA. Took a 02 mustang in SC. It was a fun road trip, except for the hydroplane thing that happened in Louisiana. I was cruising with traffic doing 70 on I-10w, when the bottom fell out of the clouds. Hit a dip in the road with several inches of water in it and did a 1080 in front of a tractor trailor. Managed not to hit anything, but end up in the median ten feet from east bound traffic, sunk to the frame. Other than that we had a great time.

Ah yes, if this was in June, I was doing a roadtrip (from Georgia to west Texas and back) in the same area as well. I learned not to trust the Goat in those downpours. Funny thing is that I stayed an extra day in Biloxi just to avoid all the reports I was hearing of hail in Texas. But I still ended up going through the monsoon.

Happy to hear your little incident turned out OK. One thing I've learned on cross-country trips: be nice to truckers. They'll take care of you.

That was some serious rain. The trucker didn't slow down or stop. Paided a heavy tow bill to be winched 10 ft.
Ouch. Yeah, that was probably when I was hiding out in the covered parking lots in the casinos of Biloxi. :secret: :gr_jest:
