Well, after 23 + years for the same company (based in Monrovia, Ca.), I will be "free'd up for further employment oppertunities".
PDSi purchased GNP in Aug2005. They are now packing their bags and running back to Ohio. The funny thing is that the stocks went up and they had better earnings each quarter than PDSi had ever had. Go figure.

So, just 34 HOURS to go.
Friday just can't come soon enough.

Even worse about Friday is I need to round up the kid. Just as well, I would need a ramp truck to get home anyway.

Tax breaks are nothing. The biggest problem in CA. is the Workmans Comp. Ins. That on top of the high cost of real estate and high cost of living. CA. is a trend setter for all that happens in the US. If the buisnes leaves CA now, it will likely leave the USA in a matter of years. This state has many more problems contributing to this affect, namely goverment greed. We get these guy's in office that really want to just enjoy the power and take in as much money as possible. They don't care if all goes to shit because they will just move somewhere else, hell, they'll have the money to just pick up and leave. How's the state budget? They have all these projects they like to spend money on. Unfortunately a very large amount gets diverted into someones project that feeds their bank account. Maybe we need someone to back us. How about some hot rodder that gets a special budget set up through the oil companies that gets us a special tax break for using special super clean running high octane fuel. I'm sure somehow prop 87 might, huh?

Yeah... part, its socialist spending (spending more than you have) and workers comp, youre right jim. Also, people try to be p.c. when it comes to the reason we're in a deficit. When gray davis was in office, he messed us up so bad he trippled the car tax to try and fix it. He took his misstakes out on us. Thankfully Arnold rolled the car tax back. Illegal immigration cost the state on average around 6 billion a year when he was gov. Davis was in office 6 years. Thats 36 billion under his time in office just on illegal immigrants. How much was the state deficit? like 43 billion? 9 hospitals in 3 years have closed in socal, due to the massive amount of illegal immigrants that took such advantage of the system, it all but bankrupts the hospital.

If youre running business legal, theres no way you can compete with a business that hires illegal immigrants. Companies are moving left and right because workers comp fees are so damn high here, fraud is through the roof, and its cheeper, just about EVERYWHERE else, so companies leave.

Cali is not an attractive place for business much at all. Democrats want to tax everything big out of existance.

Well, we recieved our last paycheck at 3:55pm. At 3:56pm my wife calls me and lets me know her mothers test results came back positive for cancer. I ended up not going to the after work social that we normally do to be with my wife. Overall, a major bummer day. As a result I will not be doing the GTG.
