The aura of your sheer intelligence has just overwhelmed my 10+ years of professional audio installation experience, my 25 plus years of fabrication experience, the certifications I've received, the classes and workshops I've taken. I just have to give in to the fact that just because you say some kicker (which really isn't considered top tier audio by any means) 6.5's are better than the vega 8's.
The question I have for you is, have you heard the vegas in a gto? I assume no, because you wouldn't be having a keyboard stroke if you have. So until you have, you are purely speculating at best. Seems like every person who's put them in their car have been pleasantly surprised and satisfied. 6.5" just isnt enough. But 8" is. I wonder if you realize how much more cone area difference there is between the 2. having 2 8's in cone area is equivalent to (3) 6.5's in square inches.
