Ideally you want the regulator after the rails with a return anyway.

I've got the 525 in my stock bucket. At idle and cruise the stock regulator cannot keep up and my fuel pressure is around 70 psi. Once I put my foot down the fuel pressure goes down to 58 psi where it should be. I'm working on making my own fuel pressure referenced PWM to slow down the fuel pump and keep it at 58 psi during idle and cruise. Right now I'm not running out of fuel with the LSA pushing 12-13 psi and my AFR is steady at 0.78 lambda, even on E85.
