Quick question - since I am new to the OBD II - how do you reset the computer?

Some of the mags said that they had to reset the computer for the A4 after the car was beat on a bit, so as to bring the torque management back to original spec.

Are you maybe talking about the pilot car in the GTO vs. Mach 1 shootout? If so, the problems have been documented, and it's a matter of the torque management program being set for the lower horsepower LS1 in the Monaro. The production cars should not have a problem with this.
If there's something else - sorry I can't help.

Since I haven't had the chance to check out the electrical centers under the hood of mine, I don't know if the fuse pulling trick (Idle re-learn) will work and chances are it'll have little to do with TM.

Otherwise, you can always disconnect the negative side of the battery with the ignition switch on "on" for about a minute and see what that nets you.

If you go to www.obdii.com you can get the driving cycle to do after resetting it.

Thanks for getting back guys - I was overseas for a few days.

Yeah - I was worried about the pre production issue. Didn't know if it followed thorough into the production cars.
