I was just thinking, of which could be dangerous...about the shifter. Seeing as I don't plan on spending $500 for a shifter, is there another alternative?

I was looking at Mustang shifters. I would imagine the T56 in the Cobra has the same shifter plate as the GM T56. And being as they have a pretty good bend in the stick, would these work on our cars? It would be a heck of a lot cheaper if they did. And if so, that would open up a lot of choices.

Thoughts?

there has been some discussion about this. i think the consensus is that the shifter style is still different then the Fbodies b/c the Aussies have a different design.
i believe that hurst and maybe kirban are working on shifters. but no prices or times yet. so right now our only options are:
1. the ripshifter
2. this setup sold on ebay

3. or these from JHP

hope this helps
