I commissioned my cousin to weld up a set of Super 40's on my 05.

Everything went pretty well. Fitment was right where I wanted it, he tacked them up and welded them to the old tips and flanges.

Just As I was painting over the new welds... I notice the raised letters "INLET" facing outward... on the passenger side pipes
:: slaps forehead ::

soooo... we had to saw them back off, and refit that side, but after filling the good sized gaps, the fitment ended up being sunk in about a half inch and the same to the left.... It's not that bad, but it's going to bother me until I can get a spacer for the exhaust flange and move the hangers around.

So... always doublecheck before you start to weld!

:damnyou:

It does sound good though.

rofl this made me laugh. ..since the problem was... in... the end... well you get it. :p

Thanks, it'll work out ok. Nothing that a hammer can't fix. :D

and yeah, the super40s come with a decal on the inlet side, but they also have the raised letters punched into the canister also.
