...as well as offsets, too.phobos512 said:Have you all noticed that Tire Rack now shows the weight of some of its wheels? I thought that was cool of them.
Based on their comment about rubbing the fender in the back, these measurements would mean tucked a little so as to not rub on the front either. Based on my measurements, this looks spot on.CSiJason said:So 8.5" wide wheels will fit up front as long as the offset is +45 to +48? Does this still allow the wheel to "tuck" or does it stick out some still? Personaly, I want mine to sit nice and snug under the fenders but still look good. And good luck finding 9" or 9.5" wheels with anything even close to a +48 offset.
The more it goes in. So +45mm is 3mm too far out based on Discount's +48mm requirement. Which means you'd probably need to roll the fender just a tiny little..CSiJason said:Funny you suggest the ASA AR1, that is one of my top picks. The only thing that makes me wonder is the 45mm offset on the rear if that would be an issue or not. (The higher the offset, the more it brings the wheel under the car or the more it sticks out? Damn, I cant remember this...)
What offset? When I talked to them, the highest offset they had was +43mm...ArlingtonGoat said:I went with these should be here in about 6 weeks

I can deal with rolling the fender a bit so long as it doesnt look goofy with the wheel and tire out too far. I really like the look Howie got with his wheel and tire setup on the Arrowhead Performance yellow GTO. I wish I knew the wheel specs for his setup. (Hint Hint)miscreant said:The more it goes in. If they are 43mm, They should still fit but would require a fender roll. 1COOLPC on this site has had issues with the Boyd Coddingtons. I think he was sent 38mm ones the first time, and they did not fit at all, even with a complete fender roll. Let us know how it goes.ArlingtonGoat said:Not sure but the dealer assured me a fit and I ordered 18X9 for the rear for my 275/35 Pirrelli's. I hope they do because if they no fit, they no get paid.
I'm on TireRack right now on the "wheels for a GTO" page and I don't see any offsets listed, just bolt patterns...where did you see offsets listed?miscreant said:...as well as offsets, too.
I want to see the original URL where this information came from. I searched Discount Tire and tires.com (Discount Tire Direct) and they had no information about this at all. So until I see the original I don't believe this.miscreant said:...as well as offsets, too.
