Has anyone spray tinted their tail lights? If so is it easy to do? How long does it take? Whats a good process? I was going to buy the grafxwerks things but my friend told me about spray tinting and I was going to try that because its alot cheaper.

Thanks everyone!!

VHT spray tint! works great! looks great! Real easy! I did mine about 9 months ago. The key is getting the surface clean!!! Tape off the body around the tail light with news paper and good masking tape. Do it indoors if possible to keep dirt from getting in the paint. If you have never spray painted anything, buy some spray paint and practice on something else first. Maybe even get an old tail light off of something and do it first. It should dry well enough to drive in about an hour. Don't wash for 24 hours. I think it looks far better then some tacky covers, but then that's just my opinion....

I did six light Night Shade coats, one final thick coat and then one light clear coat and one thicker than the first clear coat.

1. Stock, only thing I did was clean with alcohol.

2. Final shot. Sun was on the left so that side looks brighter but they are the same.

3. Stock on the left, three coats on the right

What kind of clear coats did everyone use to get them shiny and not dull? I tinted them already but they are kind of hazy/foggy in some areas...almost like a grayish color...would a clear coat help this or should I spray some more tint?

Any kind will work, but if you already cleared them go to a shop or get a buffer and buffing compound and buff the glossy look out
