I'm probably letting something out of the bag here, but.... :wall:

Is anyone offering a solid rear axle conversion?

I'd hate to have 500 rwhp "potential" shearing those half shafts...

Thanks...

I'm looking into a 12 bolt actually. The Ford nine inchers use up too much power with that extreme hypoid angle. I don't even recommend them for my Ford customer's cars!

Looks like I have to do some measuring....

Maybe some of what they have learned putting the 9" in could be used with a 12 bolt swap. Worth talking to him about it.

The one nice thing about 9" units is that you could have pre-set gear sets and swap them in and out at the track for whatever ratios you wanted to run.

Otherwise, I'd stick with a 12 bolt personally.

checkout forums.streetcommodores.com.au and see what us aussies have done with monaro's before changing the rearend when its not needed, theirs many putting more then 550hp throught the standard rear with a ratio change to 3.9:1 the monaro with "street" plates is owned by the editor of streetcommodores mag - also admin on the site owner of "blown" www.blown.com.au aswell
