Sorry, somewhat new to turbo's. In order to change the boost setting on turbo's are boost controllers required, or can you have your tuner set it at a certain boost level and use that boost setting at all times?

Thanks in advanced

you can just run off the waste gate spring, so would just get whatever psi rateing the spring is, so you would need to select the wastegate spring for desired boost.

But probably easier to start out with say a 7psi spring then add a boost controller when you want to up the anty.

You can run off the wastegate spring or use a cheap manual boost controller to go under the hood and dial in your desired boost level. Manual boost controllers generally allow you run from the wastegate spring pressure up to 2x that #. So a 7psi spring would give you adjustment from 7-14psi of boost. Elecronic boost controllers are much more expensive and can allow for several additional adjustments (like rpm based boost maps...) and they always include a display/dial that is adjustable from the drivers seat. They are sill generally limited to a max range from 1-2x the wastegate spring pressure.

Turbos don't provide for unlimited boost adjustment... Much of what you can run is limited by the turbos...
