I've been chasing down the dreaded rear-end clunk and while I was checking bolts, I found one of the bolts on this flange mounting to the diff completely loos, and the other two took no effort to loosen with an adjustable wrench.

I had to use an open-end wrench because all 3 bolts interfere with the flange, as you can see in the photo. There weren't any of those score marks before I took it off, so it's almost as the bolts were put on the flange before the yoke was welded to it or something? Either way, I removed all 3 to apply some blue loctite to them and tighten them down as much as I possibly could without rounding the bolts.

I'm not sure what good being able to identify the flange, if possible at all, other than maybe passing on to our fellow goat members that might be considering something similar to stay away from them.

Looks like the direct fit flange drive shaft shop uses.

Those need to be class 12.9 socket bolts, not hex. The smurf happened...
