Convince Me to Buy

I'm probably going to anyway, but why won't some of you push me over the edge for the heck of it? There's a local dude selling an OEM bumper cover, that's never been installed, for $400. Considering they go for $700-900 all day, plus $150 shipping, this should be a no-brainer, right?

The only thing is, I don't really need it. I mean, my current cover is a little scuffed on the bottom and has a few chips in the paint, but is otherwise pretty good - an 8/10, I'd say.

Having a fresh OEM for "just in case" is tempting though.

I'd consider it, but in my case theres a salvage yard in my state with 100 gto's and good bumpers.
But I am keeping my spare headlights just in case.

Ya see, GTOs are kinda rare in my neck of the woods (northeast Georgia.) The fact that this thing has never been installed, with all tabs intact, is appealing. I may see if I can karate chop him down to $300. If so, I think that'll be a win.

Now, if only some fresh, OEM side skirts would magically appear on Marketplace.
For what it is worth, I just ordered a new front bumper to have just in case, along with a new 04 rear bumper and a couple of other things. I can’t believe there are new front bumpers from GM still in stock today in 2023. So yeah, even if you paid $400 for it, it would still be a good investment in my book. I have Days Parts a couple of hours from me but that is it. I doubt the Pick & Pulls near me ever see a GTO. Buy that fucker and sit on it!
