In the tradition of edmaroonz and UP, I called Jack Cooper Transport who runs the yard in Fairfax for info on my stalled car. No luck, they said they can give no info to private individuals, that I should call GM... I even tried email but no luck there either. Thanks for the info Mr. Pontiac, you saved me a call that I was going to place later on. You know this figures, right on par with every other frustrating thing that has happenned in trying to get any info on our cars. GTO=GOING TO be a long time before you see your ORDER.

I just called 800-2PONTIAC, and advised the rep about the situation about private individuals not being able to get info on their cars at the Fairfax railyard. So I had the Pontiac rep call, I gave her the number for Jack Cooper Transport. She was able to tell me that before the GTO can ship out, they go to a place to get inspected. (She was not able to tell me what place) After passing inspection, then they get shipped out. The rep told me my car went in for inspection Friday. Unfortunately, the rep stated "You know these things take awhile, Sorry." No definitive shipping time.

You should've said that you've worked for GM for XX amount of years and even you can't get any info on them from your employer.

I called UP and found out some other information. The car has a "Intermediate Shipping Status" That status was described to me as the car has been inspected and is back at the railyard. All that is left is to get the paperwork back to UP from the inspection company. Then the car can ship out finally. Common sense would dictate to have the paperwork go with the car at the same time. But really how much of this whole process has gone smoothly?
