They also still list the DSS two-piece but if DSS no longer has it on their site GTOG8TA probably doesn't have access to it either.

I think they would drop ship that so they probably just need to update their site. Same thing happened when I tried to order titanium ceramic coated JBA shorties from Summit.
Hmmm. I kinda like that. I have an OEM shaft in storage from a buddy though but maybe keep it as a backup.

i was about to ask that...
only guy on the forums that i remember running a dorman shaft had all sorts of issues. then again... he seemed like one of those guys just had all sorts of issues.
Type in GTO driveshaft.

In comparing photos, it appears the improved stock style 2-piece GTOG8TA sells is actually a Dorman.
Could be this one… they had a shop near me but it looks like it is permanently closed now.

I just (3 Months ago) replaced my original driveshaft with the GTOG8TA and it works just like the OE. The lead time of 2-3 Weeks was met in 2 weeks. GTOG8TA told me that they are a made to order, thus the lead time.

Did one of these about 6 months ago on my 04 , works as original and will be much easier to fix carrier bearing in the future.
Car is basically stock.
