I read somewhere on here about poor gas mileage could be due to plastic flaps under the car, I believe in the rear, that are down during shipping, and should be secured up for driving. Anyone heard of this?

There was a message on here somewhere, that had pictures of the flap that was open and a picture of it closed. I think it is the flap that covers where the gas tank use to be. I hope this helps you.

I thought we got good mileage, depending on the amount of foot that week I have gotten from 20 to 26.4 a hell of a lot better then my truck and with twice the horses.

You where the one that said "I am sure that this extra drag is what has been causing my low MPG".

Ummmmm… did you notice I used the “roll eyes (sarcastic)” smiley after that statement?

I am sure my poor MPG is due exclusively to my driving style
