GM is reviving a once-popular yet controversial badge that was phased out a decade ago, according to people familiar with the matter.
I agree. I rented one in CO, and put it through it's paces on Lincoln Creek road near Aspen. Very tough and capable. The downside with the rental was it had the 5 cylinder engine. The Alpha trim would have made it complete. The 5 was adequate for offroading, but was a real dog on mountain highways. The other thing of note, is that it had one hell of a drivers side blind spot. All in all, I would have considered getting an Alpha. The H3 was an awesome vehicle, especially in the Alpha trim. It is still one of the last good vehicles made by GM that isn’t named Corvette.
