got my overlays for the pontiac logos (front & back, rims) & the instructions say to put some water on it before putting them down.
ok, makes sense if I wanna move them back & forth, but doesn't it hurt the adhesive????

No....just use a squeegee and get all the water out. I used a blow dryer and my drivers license...

Water evaporates and it then it sticks fine!

I would use soapy water. Even windex works better than just plain water. But you may not have hard water like I do.

Windex will eat the adhesive and your decals will be ruined or impaired.

gonna wait til it warms up a little bit here, then I'm gonna use some distilled water to put them on.

I just put on my steering wheel inlay (liquidomed) and the side emblem inlays and flags w/out water and though it took alot of lining up before sticking down, they look FREAKIN AWSOME!

Yeah I used a spray bottle with a soap/water mixture. The "wet" method works great...especially for the very small inlays...
