Hi guy's,
I'm needing a bit of information if someone can help.
over in Oz and the UK our cars came with folding cup holders in the dashboard (Saab items I believe) and a cubby in the centre floor console.
These cubby's have a spring loaded lid with a tiny plastic "finger" for better words that holds the lid closed.
My plastic "finger" snapped off a couple of times, I've tried glue, JB-weld and it still snaps off!!!
A new item from OZ is over US$400 plus postage, and I'm assuming in time it will break again?
Now, you guy's have cup holders instead.
Could anyone supply me with a photo or two of what the fittings are like in the console with the cup holders removed. And hopefully GM in their wisdom kept both the US, OZ and UK consoles the same, albeit left and right hand drive differences with switch placement.
If I can retro fit the cup holders into my console I probably stand a better chance in purchasing said piece from the US.

You can see the offending "finger" on the photo above, top left.

If anyone can indeed help I would be really appreciative.

Thank you guy's,
looks to be a mirror image of the right hand drive console.
I was hoping that GM didn't change the console fitment for either the cup holders or cubby with lid.

Here's mine for comparison 👍
TBH for the amount of time that I've used the cubby I may as well have cup holders, and the dash mounted ones are really flimsy and also a weak part destined to break!

Now, are the cup holders still available new from US Dealerships?
Or am I best searching EBay USA?

thanks again fellas.
What about the opening on the side? The cup holder only covers the bottom and a part of the side panel.

I agree ^, I painted mine with our color code silver WA470G/13U. I like it but not as much as the OEM trim paint that hasn’t been 100% replicated yet.
I would like to repaint one of my console Matte black like yours, what brand of paint did you use on the inside and outside trim? Thanks

Thanks to GTOZZ I have now fixed my dilemma.
to keep the rubber tray in place, I have decided to use thin strips of 3M double sided sticky pads.
I have the console out to tidy up the plastic, especially the 'piano' black.
Not sure whether to keep the outer two sides black or maybe colour code them with silver to match the car??
What would you guys do?

this is how it's looking so far.
First coat of Matt black.
