It is still solid axle and if you can believe this it's got a solid rear axle with 4 link suspension instead of those damn antiquated leaf springs. Which is pretty damn cool for a half assed pickup.No, I don't follow this stuff anymore, or new cars in general. I had a modified ZJ 5.9 that went all over the place, then later a WK 5.7...later one got slightly neutered in different ways, so hopefully they didn't do that to the 'truck'. Would hope they kept it as a proper 4x4 (ie sfa)
Not really. That bracket is pretty mild steel and that was a full on cobalt drill bit plus I already had a pilot hole.don't use a little tap oil when you're drilling?
Yes on 44s front and rear with 4.10 gears....and that front axle looked mighty solid. SMURF i didn't expect that.
i'm actually kind of impressed. i didn't expect FCA to pull that one.

Modifications to the 4 door wrangler mostly frame extension IIRCI think it's pretty heavily based on the wrangler. I'm not sure if it shares architecture with anything else.
