Has anyone ever made a homeade version of the hendrix intake that goes infront of the fender well?
If someone has, is there enough air flow down there?
Does it get dirty? Would a frog skin cover help?

I would love an otr. But tight now i cant justify the price.

I have done some looki g and cant see any pictures on a write up svede has done a long time ago.

Also looking for info on the omega thermistor upgrade. Again. I can find the write ups, but see no pics

Overflow for coolant. I use the 05/06 cooling system so I could get rid of the ugly 04 tank.

The 04 tank has its advantages though. Easy to fill the system and no burping required.

Agreed, see all my friends and others on facebook with bleeding issues. I just deleted the whole crossover and put a smaller metal take in its place.

The amount of time, work, and troubleshooting you are going to do will be more costly than saving up for a good intake. Such as the the XAIR OTR air intake.

If money is too tight for an intake; save it.

I've been where you are at.
You WILL NOT save money in the long run.
Only do the DIY projects if you enjoy doing them.

That wasn't my experience at all with the 04 iat and I did a lot of experimenting. Once heat soaked, it took forever to come down. That thermistor from bohnman is so much better. I also have the xair from him.
