Interior Illumination Fuse

Well my interior lights cut off, so I did a search on the site and found out it was the fuse. Well I replaced the fuse with no problems and everything was back to normal. Later that night, I noticed the lights were once again off. So I tried to replace the fuse again the following day. This time, as I was inserting the fuse, it just popped. I had everything off and the doors were shut. No matter what I do, it keeps blowing the fuse as I'm putting it in.

If anyone could assist me in this, it would be a great help. I just need to be pointed in the right direction since I'm a buffoon when it comes to electronics in a car.

You have something grounded out somewhere in your vehicle's lighting system. The best advice I can give you is to start looking around the kick panels and follow the lights for your interior lighting looking for damaged wiring.

The trunk light is the most common lamp on the circuit that can be easily grounded out.

As good as anyplace to start, unless you know you had something apart recently in another area to pinch a wire.

WOW! haha I just opened my trunk and was looking around and noticed the light was hanging down with the wires loose. I guess the plastic was damaged so the light fell out when it was closed and jogged one of the connections loose. I put a new fuse in and it didn't explode on contact.
