You guys that think that GM rear diff fluid stinks are wusses :)

It does have a distinct smell, but I was expecting worse after reading the threads here.

It kind of smells like some rotten fruit. But I was expecting some real bad sh!t smell.

ok now try that with let say a car with 100k old fluid...yummy! lol

Picked up a rear end for my Camaro, and I had no other way than to put it in the car to get it. Well, this is where it went bad, rear flipped upside down, no big deal right, wrong..... The vent drained the 90w on the carpet (no rear seats).

Talk about bad smell, it was mid summer, highs near 100'F and interior was horrible. Ended up changing the carpet, can't stand that smell to this day....that and Malibu, but that is another story all together.


On a side note, the Limited Slip Additive is pretty bad too.
