Not to be buzz-killington, but in an interest to protect the "lone garage ranger", wouldn't replicating this tool with a jig or otherwise be some kind of intellectual properly infringement against Kent Moore?
He could sell the jig, then no it wouldnt be. If they arent manufacturing them anymore there shouldnt be any legal repercussions anyways.

I'm not looking to make the tools either, just the means to make them instead of getting lucky finding one and shelling out a bunch of money. These cars are expensive enough.

Fun fact: my completely stock subframe that's never been apart was out of alignment.

Would anybody want some hand-drawn scribbles to be held over? Otherwise, I'm going to contact a fabrication shop and see if they can make a jig or a 3d model.

Please.
The more knowledge out there in the wild, the longer these cars can stick around.

If you were interested in taking measurements, you could look into some of the free 3d scanning apps for smart phones. They'll create an obj file which can be used in a lot of CAD programs. Many of the apps are pretty accurate. If you did get an obj file from a 3d scan of the tool I'd be very interested in it :)

Any suggestions? All the ones I see are rated 2.8 stars lol

3d scanning phone app and accurate? I would have to insist this is doubtful. Not to mention the tool is tough to fit originally

If some one has one in the Detroit local area, I might have the ability to get a CMM arm and measure it then make a stp file. If we do this I would want the front one too so I can do bough in one sitting. I also have a guy in China I can contact once the files are made and we have ten or more people wanting in on it.

I have both front and rear, been thinking about trading them for a Maggie.
Can you post up pics/measurements of the front tool? It looks pretty simple

If you were to sell them, how much? You can PM me if you don’t want to advertise it.
I'm mainly trying to just get the info out there so somebody with a little Fab skill can whip one up themselves. I don't think I have the time or capacity to make a bunch myself, but maybe I can find a shop around here that'll make a batch and we can do a group buy or something.

The verdict is still out on somebody using a high end tool to measure it. I'm just going to hand draw everything unless somebody has a better idea.

Made some rough measurements today. Attached is what I got. The battery in my digital caliper died so I'm hoping to have more accurate measurements in the future.

I'm calling everything that's not on the main bar a "leg". There's a driver side/passenger side LCA and Chassis leg on both sides.

Also, I'm planing to use a .docx or Excel file to house all the pictures and measurements for ease of access once everything is done.

I don't think its a simple set up the alignment pins are not round and the are machined out of a solid block to get their shape.
