I always run Michelin tires... This time I stopped running a 30 series on the rear tires because NYC streets just suck. I'm on CCW 19" wheels and now run 245/35/19 (F) and 275/35/19 (R) and the ride is excellent.

Do you have any issues running the taller/wider tires in the rear? I just ordered 19" VMRs and wanted to run a taller tire in the back. I was actually looking at trying to fit the Mickey Thompson ET Streets in the rear but it only comes in 285/35/19. If I can get them to fit I was going to try to run 255/35/19 in the front to try to keep the tire height close so it doesnt throw off the abs system. I'm running BC coilovers so I feel like I can get them to fit after rolling the rears.

I am running Michelin Pilot Sport 4S, 275/30/19 rear, 245/35/19 front. The ride is excellent but I stayed with 30 series in the rear, but only drive my GTO in summer, so bad roads or potholes are not an issue in summer.
My 2018 Ford Exploder has only 10,000 miles. I can tell you what tires NOT to ever buy because I just replaced the original Hankook with Goodyear. At least the SUV no longer changes lanes by itself in the rain.
UPDATES! VMRs installed! Only took me two facking years to decide on wheels, and several hundred hours researching every wheel ever to fit on a BMW or Corvette...
Thank you to EVERYONE who has contributed thus far! Even Corndog for throwing shards of piston at my keyboard... :wall:
Porkchop...
I ordered a set of staggered wheels this go round. I'm hoping I didnt make a bad choice. The wheel I have now look really good, so I hope these look just as good...little nervous about it to be honest. I ordered:
Flow one race spec F1 gunmetal
18x8 40mm offset 245/40/18 Nankang AS-25
18x9 45mm...
Nothing I've done is new, I just read what others have said and applied it to my car. Folks like flink, Stoopalani, REBinc, Miker (even him), and many others have my thanks for their posts here on LS1GTO.
I look forward to other GTO owners copying, adapting, or improving on what I've done...
I want to blast my stock wheels to prep them for painting. I have some 80 grit glass beads but I read that glass may not "profile" the surface for painting.
Anybody here got the skinny?
