he may have upgraded his turbo and intercooler. if he did, then watch out because he can make great power:weight on us. typically, the gauge pod on the A-pillar with have exhaust gas temp, boost psi, oil psi, tranny temp --markings of upgrades from OEM. and cheers on the good sportsmanship. we cannot win them all.

I have a maggie, lt's, cai (the shame of it all). Part of the reason I lost is because I chosse the wrong gear, 3rd at 40mph. I got excited after a night of nothing and f***ed up, Owell, the guy was cool and I didn't mind the suprise killing it was still fun to run something. I was reeling him in, but if it were the same scenerio at the the track he would have crossed the line first.

If he was a stage 3... they are no joke. They are well into the 12's.

gotta be careful for SRT-4s they are like the notchbacks of the 2000s, in that they are cheap and easy to make quick.

it doesn't matter if it a freaken neon. power to weight ratio. those little cars are very light compared to our cars. and it doesn't take alot of hp to make them qiuck. my son has a 04 srt-4 and there isn't no way my 04 goat will even start to keep up with him on a 30 roll. he has around 240 whp and i have 290ish whp and it's like a bullit going by. i just can't catch him down low. and he already been up 170 on i-35 not a smart move by no means but it is a very fast little car.

From the Factory, the SRT-4 tops out at 153 MPH. I have always thought of it as quite a package.
Back in the 60's, it was Small Block vs. Big Block...now it's Import Tuned type Cars vs. Small Block vs. Big Block.
The Kids today are doing what the Kids in the 50's, 60's and 70's were doing...wanting to go fast without spending a ton of money. Even if you look at our cars, you don't need to spend $10,000 to cut low 11's in the QTR.

The srt is fun. I commend you for giving the SRT a run. Not a lot of people want to, and justifiably so (it is a neon after all). From a roll, they are pretty mean. I hung with an 05 carrying a passenger when I was stage 2/intake/exhaust/cams but only because we were already rolling when he came up on me and things got started. Like I said in another post, if you're already rolling and traction is taken out of the equation, the traps tell the story.

I say if you run into him again, try and nail him from a dig. Unless he's got DR's on (hell, even if he does have them sometimes) he's going to be playing catchup the whole time, and he's going to need more than 3 or 4 boltons to take you down.
