I noticed this today. The car bottomed out the last time I drove it in November. It hit the strut bump stop hard and never did it before until then. Below are the photos of oil leakage on top of the strut mount. I was going to charge the battery when I noticed the leaky strut.

It's a Koni yellow single adjustment. I bought the Koni's in the 2000s and it has a lifetime guarantee. So, how do you contact Koni for return??

Thanks, but those are OK. Its a b....ch contacting Koni. Impossible by phone and waiting for email response.
And theyll tell you to contact the vendor you purchased them from in order to collect on the warranty. Koni will not deal with direct sales or warranty. You must reach out to who you purchased them from and once they verify your the original buyer theyll send an advance replacement provided you pay for it and refund you once you send back the old one or send in your old one first and then they will mail out a replacement.

Either way, youll be lucky if they cover the failure as hitting something falls under accident coverage not manufacture defect. They may be nice, they may not care, but its not their fault it failed due to a severe impact.
