Hmmm, KC and Wisconsin now on the West Coast- or is it just jealousy because of the temps? :slap:

I guess anything is possible, look who our Governor in CA is
speaking of geography. How far is Folsom from Benicia? I am curious because our cars would have come over on the same boat.

Benicia is 76 miles from Folsom, in fact one of my co-workers lives in Benicia and I asked him to stop by the port today to see if he can see any GTOs from the public roads.

Hmm so the ship arrived on December 17 and it hasn't gone 76 miles to Folsom. I hope everything is fine. What does your dealer say?

The dealer says the same thing that Pontiac says which is the same thing the tracker indicates which is that the car has arrived in the USA and is at the port.

The dealer did say something interesting last week. He said he asked the car carrier driver (I guess there is one or two regular delivery guys) if he had delivered any GTOs recently to local dealers and the driver indicated that there are many GTOs sitting at the port but have not been released for delivery to dealers. I thought he was just giving me a line, so I blew off his comment. Maybe there is some truth to it.

Hey, that was some storm you guys had up there, saw some news footage of cars and trucks sliding in snow and ice all over the place and ramming into other cars and buildings. It was kind of funny but sad at the same time.

Yes get some snow up here and everyone gets stupid. I just love it when these pickups and SUV's go speeding past on the road and then a little later you see them off the road in ditches or wrapped around a tree in the case of an F150 that I saw. Nobody hurt but expensive lessons in physics.

76 miles from Benicia and they cannot get you your car. That makes no sense. If there are problems with customs or vehicle inspections those waiting should be notified so at least you have a clue as to what is happening.
No luck at Benicia

Well, I guess security is tight, he could not get close enough to see any GTOs, he did see a lot of Fords ready to be shipped out.

Tails,

I went by the dealer today at lunch and he finally had my VIN #. Said the car would be here in a week (two tops). I guess the car carrier is traveling about 5 miles a day. Not sure if you have your VIN # yet, but since we are about the same date and status, your VIN # may be available.
Dealer didn't have the VIN today. I will call again tomorrow. Too bad you can't just go find it and drive it yourself.

Hey Tails,

Went by the dealer this morning, and guess what? There was my car just unloaded off the carrier. :) 18 Miles on it. Took it for a very short ride and it drove great just as expected. :bubbrub It is now in detail and I will pick it up this afternoon. All paid for and ready to go. Just thought you would like to know since our cars are like sisters off the assembly line and yours should be next!!!
Dang. 70 miles in two weeks. I guess that means that mine will be here in another 18 weeks. Congrats and see ya whenever you decide to quite driving.

Tails, I do know that Kirkland Pontiac got their Purple 6 speed last Tuesday. They were supposedly the first to get one in Washington State.
